We had just learned that Jephthah was kicked out of his fathers house by his brothers because he was the son of a prostitute. Now here come the Elders asking him for help and offering to make him king. Sometimes the world will turn against you for no good reason but do not be discouraged. If you keep the faith, God will give you the victory in due season.
